NintendoNintendo

From the first Nintendo game console, this company has been a leader in the gaming industry; some of the game consoles include the Super Nintendo, the Nintendo 64, and the Nintendo Game Boy Advance.

Nintendo Wii

In 2006, Nintendo released their next generation game console, the Nintendo Wii. This game system features a PC CPU, and 512Mb of internal Flash memory; in addition, the Wii also offers two USB Ports, as well as built-in Wi-Fi capacity.

One of the features that make the Nintendo Wii so unique among video game consoles is the unique controller. With the Wii, Nintendo has taken full advantage of motion sensor technology, and as the console also makes use of wireless Bluetooth technology, it is possible to use up to four controllers at the same time.

Along with all these new features, those who have owned the Nintendo Game Cube system will be thrilled with the fact that the Nintendo Wii also has the capability of playing the Game Cube disks, as well as single and double layered disks.

Unlike the previous Nintendo consoles, the Wii can connect to the Internet via the WiiConnect24 service, with IEEE 802.11b/g Wireless, as well as with a USB 2.0 LAN.

The service will not only update your system, but the games you have downloaded to the systems hard drive too. Another great feature of the Nintendo Wii is that it can communicate with the portable game console, the Nintendo DS.

When you have the Nintendo Wii game console, as well as Internet access, you can download some of the most loved Nintendo classics, including those games for old systems such as the Nintendo core system, the 64, and the Super.

Some new Nintendo games that were released with the Wii system include Wii Sports, as well as Super Mario Galaxy.

Nintendo DS

The Nintendo DS is a portable handheld gaming console, and is the next generation up from the popular Game Boy portable system.

The Nintendo DS features a duel screen, as well as backwards compatibility with the Game Boy Advance games. Some additional features that consumers find very attractive with the Nintendo DS, is its wireless network gaming, and of course, the touch screen technology.

The DS offers two 3” screens that provide users with a true 3D experience; the screens are also backlit, and feature a 256 x 192 resolution, as well as 260,000 colors.

The touch screen of the Nintendo DS offers touch navigation, as well as the traditional controller navigation; this is one of the features that make the DS so much fun, as well as unique from other handheld game systems.

In addition to all these features that are a major upgrade from the Advance, the Nintendo DS also has a built in microphone, and stereo sound.

The upgraded versions of the DS include the Nintendo DS Lite, and the Nintendo DSI. The Nintendo Lite is much the same as the DS, with the exception that it is smaller and more compact, and the screens offer exceptional color enhancement.

There are many games available for the Nintendo DS, and the Nintendo DS Lite; these games include everything from action games to role playing games.

Nintendo has been a leader in the video game industry for many years, and for good reason. They offer a high quality gaming console that is easy to use, as well as the most extensive library of games available today.

Pachter advises that the cost of the PSP Go is currently too high

October 26th, 2009 by Richard

It is unlikely there will be any kind of significant different in sales figure after the release of the Sony PSP Go as it is currently too costly and this means that the handheld device from Sony will not have a big impact in sales according to an analyst from Wedbush Morgan, Michael Pachter.

In order for the handheld system from Sony to reach its full potential there would need to be a price cut on the PSP Go he advised saying “The Go is just priced too high for the perceived value. It may play music and movies, but most think iPod Nano (149 USD) or Touch (199 USD) for that, and it is very expensive for a portable gaming device. I don’t see it boosting overall sales, and without a price cut, 3000 sales are likely to be down year-over-year.”
