Nintendo DSi WhiteNintendo DSI

The new Nintendo DSI is a step up from the Nintendo DS Lite. The newest handheld games console from Nintendo features dual cameras and a memory card slot, but there is no longer a GBA slot with the DSI.

Along with these upgrades the Nintendo DSI comes with a digital camera, and a bigger screen that is about 17% larger than what was available with the DS Lite. In addition, the new Nintendo DSI has enhanced audio giving the user the ability to adjust playback and pitch.

The new DSI also comes with an SD memory card, which is perfect for storing games and photos. This handheld games system has a built in browser that offers users access to the DS Shop, where they will have the option of purchasing extras, such as wallpapers and games.

When you buy a new Nintendo DSI, you will be entitled to 1000 points that can be spent at the DS Shop for purchasing new games or accessories.

With previous Nintendo handheld systems, such as the Game Boy Advance, the exterior was in a glossy finished, which was terrible for attracting fingerprints, but with the DSI, the shell has been changed to include a matte finish. Although the new finish does not show fingerprints, it does tend to scratch easily.

As far as the operation of the Nintendo DSI, it has 16MB of RAM; about four times as much memory, than previous models. Along with the extra RAM, the new model also comes with some storage space.

The actual game performance of the DSI is about the same as it is with a DS Lite, but it is possible for single and multi-cart play between the two systems.

The camera provided with the DSI is VGA, but it still takes fairly high quality pictures, and is also sufficient for video chatting or video conferencing. In addition, there are also some fun things you can do with your pictures, as Nintendo provides some really great settings you can use for your photos. Included with the camera are 11 different lenses so that you can really have some fun customizing your pictures.

In addition to the fun things you can do with your pictures there are also some extras added for audio that allow you to add audio effects, such as echoes, instrumental, and 8-bit tunes.

The bottom line is that with the Nintendo DSI you get a handheld game system that has some of the capabilities of the PSP, but with Nintendo uniqueness.

The Nintendo DSI is the thinnest and sleekest of the Nintendo family line, plus offers the ability to download exclusive games, clocks, and calendars.

If you are a fan of Nintendo products, you may definitely want to consider making the switch from the DS Lite to the new Nintendo DSI console. It's fun, and more advanced than the DS Lite.
